ABOUT

Image by When Elephant Met Zebra

My name is Louise and I am a modern calligrapher specialising in unique, hand written wedding stationery. Modern in the sense that my free-style calligraphy is not the traditional, perfect, every letter is exactly the same kind of calligraphy – Floralovely Calligraphy has been described as “whimsical, beautiful and fresh with a modern flair.”

I am based in a semi-rural area near Brisbane, Australia and I work from my home studio surrounded by things that inspire me – fresh flowers, dried flowers, vintage tins, old bottles and other antique paraphernalia, doilies, soft ribbons and lace (and a lot of paper, ink and nibs of course!) I’m very fortunate to be able to work around the schedule of my little family. My husband and I have a 5 year old daughter and a 3 year old son.

Whether you would like envelopes, invitations and menus in custom calligraphy or perhaps you’d just like stunning place cards in gold or copper ink, I’d love to hear from you. I work with couples from all over the world and can provide paper goods or simply write on stationery that you have already purchased.

Remember, the very first impression your guests will have of your wedding is not your invitation but your invitation envelopes! Envelopes in personalised calligraphy treat your guests before the big day even arrives and creates a sense of anticipation for a truly special, intimate affair. Every piece of stationery is created the old-fashioned way with a nib dipped into an ink well. The Floralovely Calligraphy service is suited to clients looking for that special, sensory experience of opening a handwritten letter in the mail – a true delight in this digital age!
